Acquisitions add billions of dollars to DP World's top line

DP World increased its revenue considerably in 2019 due to its acquisition of firms like Topaz Energy & Marine. Its 2020 focus is to integrate its acquisitions, but the coronavirus generates major uncertainty, CEO says.


DP World's acquisitions of Topaz Energy & Marine and P&O Ferries have increased the Arab port major's revenue by several billions.

In 2019, DP World saw revenue landing at USD 7.69 billion, a considerable surge from 2018, when revenue came to USD 5.65 billion.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
