Danish Ship Finance paints very bleak picture for shipping and offshore

A deep plunge in the world economy and for the global maritime industry comprises the pessimistic forecast given by Danish Ship Finance in its latest half-year prognosis. The only question is how deep.

The cocktail of the corona pandemic, the global economic downturn and sudden plunge in oil prices could have very serious consequences for the maritime industry.

That is the general conclusion of the most recent biannual report from bank Danish Ship Finance, which reviews how the corona crisis is affecting the various shipping segments and the offshore sector.
