European nations reject US demand for reimposed Iran sanctions

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has asked the UN Security Council to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran, but three European nations reject this request. The sanctions were lifted as part of the nuclear accord which the US abandoned in 2018.
