IMO hit by cyberattack

The IMO has been hit with what the organization describes as a "sophisticated cyberattack." This affects the organization's website and its internal intranet.

The UN International Maritime Organization, IMO, has been hit by a "sophisticated cyberattack" that has since Wednesday shut down the organization's website.

In addition to affecting its public website, imo.org, the IMO's internal intranet is also currently unavailable, says the organization in a statement Thursday at around noon CET.
