Nordic Shipholding expects to land new loan agreement shortly

Tanker shipping company Nordic Shipholding books a USD 9.5 million deficit for the third quarter. The deficit is largely due to impairments on ships totaling USD 8.7 million. New loan agreement is expected to land soon.

According to chairman Knud Pontoppidan, Nordic Shipholding is close to landing a new loan agreement with the tanker carrier's banks. And speed is of the essence as debt totaling DKK 450 million (USD 72 million) matures in December.

"We expect to be able to announce something shortly," Pontoppidan tells ShippingWatch.
