Gas rates drop significantly on the heels of strong start to the year

Both LNG and LPG rates have now dropped below breakeven after both segments saw extremely strong earnings levels at the start of the year, writes Finansavisen.

After a strong start to 2021, rates have subsided significantly for shipping companies transporting LPG and LNG.

According to Norwegian business daily Finansavisen, rates now sit below companies' breakeven in both segments. This development comes after the carriers started off the year with sky-high earnings levels.
