Container ships reroute south of Africa to circumvent Suez Canal

South Korea's HMM confirms to ShippingWatch that the container line has redirected a ship south of Africa to circumvent the Suez Canal, where a grounded container ship continues to block all passage. "A few vessels" have so far done the same, says shipping analyst.

A ship from South Korea's HMM has now been rerouted south of Africa to avoid the growing queue of vessels forming off the Suez Canal.
