DFDS' logistics acquisition is being scrutinized by EU's Competition Commissioner

DFDS' acquisition of Dutch HSF Logistics has raised questions at the EU's competition authority. The integration of the large-scale acquisition is delayed, which affects both revenue and earnings this year, CEO Torben Carlsen says to ShippingWatch.

The integration of DFDS's acquisition of Dutch HSF Logistics for the price of EUR 296 million is delayed at least two months.

The delay is largely attributable to the fact that the EU's competition authority, headed by EU Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, has raised questions about DFDS' acquisition of HSF Logistics, which offers refrigeration logistics in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Denmark and the Nordic region.
