Sri Lanka to sue owners after fire on X-Press Pearl

Sri Lankan authorities describe the fire on container ship X-Press Pearl as "the worst marine pollution" in Sri Lanka, and are now planning a lawsuit against shipowner X-Press Reefers.

Sri Lankan authorities are planning a lawsuit against the owner of wrecked container vessel X-Press Pearl, which is on fire off the coast of Sri Lanka.

X-Press Pearl, owned by shipping carrier X-Press Feeders, has been on fire for 12 days, while firefighters have been working to get the fire under control.
