MSC closes in on position as world's largest container line

After 50 years, Italian-Swiss MSC approaches a top placement among the world's largest container carriers.

Italian-Swiss MSC, Mediterranean Shipping Company, recently chaired by Søren Toft, is on the verge of overtaking Maersk's position as the world's largest container carrier after 50 years in the making, writes the Financial Times.

Søren Toft was brought to MSC from Maersk back in December.
