Svitzer has saved one thousand tonnes CO2 from reducing speed

Towage company Svitzer has reduced its CO2 emissions by lowering vessel speed. The initiative is part of the carrier’s overall climate strategy presented in May.

Maersk-operated tugboat company Svitzer has through a climate initiative succeeded with saving 1,000 tonnes of CO2 by sailing at a maximum vessel speed of 8 knots.
