Ikea drops container strategy as work on "new solutions" to ship goods continues

Ikea has sold the containers it purchased last year when chaos reigned on the global freight market. The furniture group now focuses on other solutions in the strained supply chains. Others such as retail chain Lidl have gone in the opposite direction.

Ikea has left the container market again after having purchased boxes and chartered ships in 2021 with the purpose of bringing out the company’s goods, writes the global furniture group in a reply to ShippingWatch.
