Fredriksen richest in Norway – capital tax may be reason for wealthy individuals moving away

Major shareholder in Golden Ocean and Frontline, Norwegian-Cypriot shipping magnate John Fredriksen, is Norway’s richest person, according to magazine Kapital. More wealthy Norwegians are moving abroad, and wealth tax could be main reason.

The fortunes of Norway’s 400 richest business people, of which several are active in the shipping and offshore industry, are continuing to grow, and within the last year, Norway has gotten 37 new billionaires measured in Norwegian kroner.
