US state bans cell phone usage for ship pilots after grounding incident

US state of Maryland prohibits ship pilots from using cell phones while sailing in state waters following the grounding of vessel Ever Forward where a pilot was distracted by his phone.

Ship pilots working aboard vessels in the US state of Maryland are no longer allowed to use their personal cell phone, report several media including GCaptain.
