Chinese growth increases demand for dry bulk and oil

Q1 offered bigger growth in China than expected, compensating for weaker growth levels in other parts of the world, estimates analytics company Bimco.

The dry cargo and tanker sectors have been by strengthened by the recent recovery in China’s economy after a long period with extensive Covid-instigated lockdowns in the country, posits Bimco’s chief shipping analyst Niels Rasmussen.
