Pirate attacks and armed robberies at sea are once again increasing

Ships traveling through the Gulf of Guinea and/or the Singapore Strait continue to be particularly vulnerable to piracy and armed robberies.

The trend has been downward for the past two years, but now there has been an increase in the number of incidents of piracy and armed robbery on merchant ships.
