Carriers still avoid the Red Sea even though war ships are on the way

The US will lead a military coalition in the Red Sea to restore security for the merchant fleet. But shipping companies are still sailing south around Africa.

It could be some time before a military coalition led by the US restores security for the commercial fleet operating in the Red Sea amidst an unprecedented wave of attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi movement.
