Singapore's fleet surpasses 100 million gross tons

The nation’s flag now adorns 4,000 merchant ships for a total of more than 100 million gross tons, says Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority.

A supertanker with a capacity of 154,000 gross tons has been registered in Singapore, pushing the Singapore Registry of Ships (SRS) past a 100 million gross tonnage (GT) milestone, writes Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) in a statement.
