CMB.Tech to build world's first ammonia-powered container ship

The vessel is expected to be completed in 2026 and will sail for North Sea Container Line on routes between Norway and Germany.

The Savery family’s tech company CMB.Tech, recently acquired by Euronav, will design the world’s first ammonia-powered container ship in collaboration with Norwegian North Sea Container Line (NCL) and Yara, CMB writes in a press release.
