The temporary channel that Baltimore authorities have opened to commercial traffic was closed again on Monday.

The reason is that the ship Dali, which collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge a month ago, is about to be removed as it continues to block passage, according to Key Bridge Response.

The channel, which is the fourth alternate passage opened since the collision, is expected to reopen on May 10.

According to Key Bridge Response, 171 commercial vessels have passed through the alternate channels since the accident, including the five ships trapped in the Port of Baltimore since the bridge collapse.

In addition, authorities have removed 137 of the estimated 180 containers believed to be aboard the Dali.

In late March, the container ship Dali sailed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing the nearly 50-year-old bridge to collapse. The accident resulted in six deaths and two injuries.
