Long-awaited rainy season enables further opening of the Panama Canal

Panama Canal authorities are slowly starting to increase the number of transits towards summer. But water levels are still low.

The important trade route through Panama, which serves as a link between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, is showing signs of recovery after long periods of reduced transits, according to a new announcement from the canal authority.
