Eitzen Chem: Shale gas could change the market by 2014

American shale gas is developing into a real game changer, says Eitzen Chem. The shipping company expects that US shale gas production will increase by 15 percent as early as 2014.

MANILA: Chemical tank shipping is a segment currently enjoying a lot of confidence, from analysts and brokers, but also among shipowners themselves. Eitzen Chem is a good example that the chemical segment is doing well and is positive toward the future. The order book is empty and demand is rising, says the shipping company's CEO, Per Sylvester Jensen.
