Intertanko applauds IMO decision to postpone ballast water requirements

As opposed to the subcontractors, the ones manufacturing the ballast water cleaning systems, the tank shipping companies' international association, Intertanko, is very pleased with the IMO's decision to postpone the requirements.

The tank shipping companies are pleased with the decision of the IMO's environmetal committe (MEPC) last week to soften and postpone the requirements for when the ships will have to install ballast water cleaning systems.
