
This year, a single Danish company made the American magazine Fortune’s so-called Fortune 500 list. The Maersk Group is listed as the 157th most profitable company with a surplus of 3.7 billion dollars for 2012, writes dr.dk.
Among Denmark’s neighboring countries, the Norwegian company Statoil lists as number 39 with a surplus of 11.8 billion dollars. By contrast, Sweden has three companies on the list, Volvo L.M., Ericsson, and Vattenfall, which are placed at numbers 227, 333, and 473 respectively.
