Spot rates on Asia-Europe jump

The spot rates for container transport from Asia to Europe have increased with 9.7 percent since last week, the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index shows, according to the news agency Reuters.

Good news for the container traffic on the most important route from Asia to Europe: the spot rate on the stretch has increased with 9.7 percent since last week, which is an increase of 120 USD to 1,360 USD per TEU. This is the report from Reuters which has a source with access to data from the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index.
