EU accepts US invitation to discuss P3 at summit

The EU Commission is open to discuss the world's largest container shipping collaboration, the P3 alliance, with the concerned US authorities, the Commission tells ShippingWatch.

Last week's surprising announcement from the US authorities, which proposed a summit to discuss the extensive P3 alliance between the three largest container carriers in the world, Maersk Line, MSC, and CMA CGM, is accepted by the EU Commission.

A spokesman for the EU Commission's competition authority tells ShippingWatch:
