Hanjin negotiating with Turkish investor

Struggling Korean carrier Hanjin Shipping has initiated negotiations with a Turkish investor concerning five new container ships.

Alphaliner reports that container carrier Hanjin Shipping has initiated negotiations with a Turkish investor named Ciner Denizcilik. The negotiations concern an order for five container ships of 9,200 teu each, to be built at Hanjin's shipyard in the Philippines. When the newbuildings are ready in the 2nd half of 2015, they will be deployed for Hanjin on twelve-year charter contracts.
