
The Russian competition authority FAS, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, has launched proceedings against a total of 13 carriers suspecting of coordinating prices in breach of the law, according to a press release from the Russia competition authority.
The announcement of competition proceedings against the big container carriers comes not long after the EU-Commission similarly decided to open proceedings against more or less the same carriers for concerted practices through signaling their future rate increases in the media and on their corporate websites.
