HSH Nordbank sells ten ships to Navios

The remarkable agreement between the two parties could lead to more similar deals, says Navios CEO Angeliki Frangou.

Navios Europe acquires a total of 10 ships from HSH Nordbank in a financial transaction that has attracted attention in the shipping industry.

The ten ships, five tankers and five container ships, have an average age of six years and a market value of around USD 218 million. Five of the ships have already been delivered to Navios' fleet, while the remaining five are expected to be delivered before the end of the year.
