Norden: Growth is on the way

On the threshold of a new year, Norden CEO Carsten Morten is now ready to make bolder statements again.

A five-year period of dark crisis is nearing an end, says Carsten Mortensen, CEO of shipping company Norden. And the statement even follows a 2013 that turned out less than ideal for Norden. Still, the CEO predicts that the tide is about to turn.

"We now feel that we've roped the sails and that we've reached shore in a somewhat sound condition. It's been five hard years, no doubt about that. And we should also start out by adding that 2013 was a challenging year for Norden and the industry. This was not a profit year, but rather an investment year for us," he says, after the carrier has invested in 20 ships while prices were down.
