Euronav mentioned in relation to sale of Maersk VLCC's

American Genmar has had difficulties raising the necessary capital, and now Belgian tanker carrier Euronav is rumored to acquire Maersk Tankers' VLCC fleet.

Genmar will most likely not be the one walking away with Maersk Tankers' 15 VLCC vessels, which have been on the verge of being sold since this summer. Belgian tanker carrier Euronav is mentioned by several media as the most realistic buyer of the Maersk tanker fleet, at an estimated price of USD one billion.
