Stena AB, the parent company of Stena Line, Stena Drilling, and Stena Bulk, performed well in 2013. All segments grew, meaning that the parent company's profits increased from USD 4.14 billion in 2012 to USD 4.44 billion in 2013, and the company's profits before taxes similarly grew, to USD 319.8 million from USD 258.9 million in 2012.

The company's liner business, which handles ferry transports of cars and trucks, improved its revenue even though the container market was full of competition.
