Dear reader.

The biannual ShippingWatch magazine is out now. This time, we present a thematic issue with a focus on German shipping and how the financial crisis and the collapse of huge parts of the KG-system forces the industry to be more transparent in order to please the new owners: equity funds. Also, we take a close look at an industrial resurrection: European shipyards are prosperous again. And we perform a thorough inspection into a silver wedding: 25 years with ship registers in Northern Europe! Who has actually benefitted from the schemes?
