
John Fredriksen's close confidant for 19 years, Tor Olav Trøim, will get a new role to play in the conglomerate, along with a massive pile of shares, as evident from a statement to the Oslo Stock Exchange. Shares that, according to Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, are worth USD 258.6 million, based on the closing rates on Monday.
"We have been pleased with the 19-year collaboration and are both pleased with the results we've achieved in this period," the two men say in a joint statement in the brief to the stock exchange about Tor Olav Trøim's new position.
