
Improvements on the North Sea, the English Channel and in the logistics division secured shipping and logistics group DFDS a significant improvement in the 2nd quarter. The operating profit grew 31 percent, to USD 71.7 million, while the result before taxes and special items increased 143 percent, to USD 41 million.
Easter had a positive effect on passenger activities in all parts of the service network. Increased revenue, up by eight percent, and corporate acquisitions improved the results from logistics activities, says DFDS in its 2nd quarter interim report, published Thursday morning.
