
Calculations that account for living costs indicate that China will surpass the US and thus become the world's biggest economy, according to data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The numbers are based on the so-called purchasing power parity, which shows that the Chinese purchasing power will surpass that of the US five years earlier than previously predicted, reports The Telegraph.
