SeaIntel: Bigger risks than Ebola in West Africa

In spite of Ebola currently ravaging West Africa, the virus is not the biggest problem facing container carriers in the region, says SeaIntel in an analysis.

The lethal Ebola virus has killed more than 4,000 people and infected more than 8,000 since March this year. Ebola has made several carriers change their services and crewing procedures, made seafarers fear calls in West Africa and made security companies estimate that the virus represents a major risk to the current shipping industry.
