Major confusion in Brazilian bribery case against Maersk

Maersk Supply Service has, according to previous statements from the company's senior executives, never used brokers in its work with scandal-stricken Brazilian oil company Petrobras - but Maersk Tankers has, as the carrier has used the broker named in the case.

Several factors indicate that the Maersk Group's offshore carrier Maersk Supply Service has been involuntarily dragged into the comprehensive bribe and corruption investigation that the Brazilian authorities are conducting in relation to the scandal surrounding state-owned oil company Petrobras.
