
Poland's Ministry of Taxes has, through company Polska Grupa Promova (PGP), merged the two ferry operators Polska Zegluga Baltucka, also known as Polferries, Unity Line, which is owned by company Polsteam.
The move means that interested carriers such as DFDS and Finnlines will miss out on the chance to get their hands on Polferries' market share in the Baltic Sea, according to a statement on the ministry's website.
