New Rickmers Maritime CEO ready for growth

Newly-appointed CEO of container company Rickmers Maritime, Søren Andersen, is prepared to acquire vessels and to strengthen the company by establishing pool collaborations for smaller container vessels. "The challenge is to get investors on board for growth," he says in an interview with ShippingWatch.

This is the shop that Søren Andersen took over on June 1st as new CEO of Rickmers Maritime: 16 container vessels ranging from 3,450 to 5,000 teu, leased to major container operators. A market value of USD 180 million. A German major shareholder, and the rest of the ownership placed in Singapore, where the company is listed. Improved rates, but a broad field of competitors.
