DFDS CEO: We did not negotiate under pressure

DFDS CEO Niels Smedegaard has met with France's Minister of Transportation to discuss developments in the English Channel. DFDS will ensure 200 jobs for French employees. "No matter what, this will affect employment," Niels Smedegaard tells ShippingWatch.

DFDS' senior management, led by CEO Niels Smedegaard, has been in close talks with France's Minister of Transportation in relation to DFDS' takeover of two ferries on the English Channel from employee-controlled company SCOP SeaFrance.
