Nordseth: Of course I'm disappointed

South Korea beat Denmark in the race for the international top job at the IMO. "Of course I'm disappointed that I didn't win," Andreas Nordseth, Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority, told ShippingWatch after the final decision.

There was no international top job for Denmark this time around when the UN's International Maritime Organization elected a new Secretary General on Tuesday. The Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority, Andreas Nordseth, has otherwise fought a fierce battle alongside several Danish ministers for the past six months to win the majority vote. But in the end it was the South Korean candidate Ki-tack Lim who won the title. And Andreas Nordseth was indeed disappointed when ShippingWatch got in touch with him in London just after the final decision.
