Strong dollar and more cars boosted Wilhelmsen

The strong dollar and growing transport volumes in the form of cars helped lift Norwegian Wilh. Wilhelmsen's operating profit.

Norway's Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA has on Thursday published a second quarter interim report showing a net profit of USD 66 million.

"The group’s performance in second quarter was stable. The total income for our ship operating entities was positively impacted by a seasonal increase in auto volumes. The effect was partly offset by increased net bunker costs," says Group CEP Thomas Wilhelmsen.
