Swedish shipowners: Strategy plan is a small step forward

The Swedish government's new maritime strategy plan is a positive signal, but no more than that, according to the Swedish shipowners, who is still waiting for the decisive proposal for a Swedish tonnage tax.

This is how the Swedish shipowners view the new strategy plan for Swedish shipping that was presented by the country's government on Friday. The plan is focused on three aspects of Sweden's maritime industry: people, jobs and the environment - and jobs in particular, namely employment, represent a key issue for the country's maritime sphere.
