Maersk Group has now downgraded its profit forecast for the whole of 2015, said the group in a statement to the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Global market conditions have been weaker than the group expected while the container market in particular has deteriorated in the third quarter and over the course of October. It will hit results hard:

"The Group adjusts its expectation for the 2015 result. The previous expectation announced in the second quarter report was an underlying result of around USD 4.0 billion, based on an underlying result contribution from Maersk Line above USD 2.2 billion," said Maersk in the anouncement.
