
In 2015 one single enormous incident contributed to a tenfold increase in Maersk Drilling's statistics on spills of oil and oil mud in 2015. This is reflected in a calculation from the latest edition of the Maersk subsidiary's magazine, The Drillbit.
At the beginning of the year, almost 75,000 liters of oil-based mud were cast off the rig Maersk Resolute when a hose connection to a service vessel failed.
