DFDS headed for new record result

Shipping and logistics group DFDS delivered its best quarterly result ever. Passengers as well as cargo volumes increase in the period, and management is now increasing its expectations for the full year.

The Danish shipping and logistics group delivered improved earnings and increases its full-year guidance.

In the first quarter 2016, the company managed to increase its operating profit before one-off items (ebitda) by 77 percent to USD 62.1 million. The solid result is attributable to factors such as more passengers and cargo being transported by the company's ships.
