Nearly one in ten vessels violate North Sea sulfur regulations

The EU Commission has published its full-year figures 2015 documenting how many vessels violated the new sulfur regulations within the SECA zone. In the North Sea, nearly one in ten vessels failed to comply with the requirements.

Last year, a number of vessels failed to comply with the sulfur regulations in the SECA (sulfur emission control area) zone, which entered into force on January 1st 2015 and covers the North and Baltic seas.
