NGO: Denmark does Maersk a favor by ratifying Hong Kong Convention

Denmark's government is doing Maersk a favor by ratifying the Hong Kong Convention, the UN's international standard for responsible shipbreaking, states NGO Shipbreaking Platform, which combats shipbreaking on the infamous beaches of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

The Danish government is doing Maersk Group a favir with the decision for Denmark to accede to the UN standard for responsible ship recycling, says NGO Shipbreaking Platform after the Danish Minister for Environment and Food, Esben Lunde Larsen, announced that he would pave the way for Denmark to ratify the Hong Kong Convention next year.
