Several small carriers which operate in niche markets across the globe have been more or less able to shelter themselves from the massive downturn that has enveloped the large deep-sea carriers.
According to a review, which SeaIntel has performed of available financial reports from the group of container carriers that rank between 20 and 100 measured in capacity, 67 percent of these small and medium-sized container carriers have achieved positive earnings in this year's third quarter.
